Decimal 3.00 = Fractional 2/1 = American +200 — all three say the same thing. Place a ৳200 bet and if Team A wins the return is ৳600 (৳400 profit + original ৳200 stake). If Team A loses, the full ৳200 is lost.
Team B's win odds are Decimal 1.25 = Fractional 1/4 = American -400. The American minus sign means ৳400 must be staked to win ৳100 profit. On a ৳200 bet the return is ৳250 (৳50 profit). Because the favourite has lower odds, the profit is also lower.
Live or in-play betting means the opportunity to place bets after the match has started. In cricket this is particularly engaging because every event — a wicket, a boundary, a no-ball or a maiden over — immediately affects the odds.
For example, if Team A has lost 3 wickets in 10 overs, Team A's win odds will rise because reaching the target has become harder for them. Team B may have been the underdog before, but at that moment their win odds could come down.
